大学一年级

The program is taught entirely in Germany and consists of two semesters, running for about ten months including public holidays and a two‑week Christmas break.

It begins on September 2027.
The first semester ends on February 2028, with a Christmas break.
The second semester runs from February to June 2028, when the final exams will take place.

In our program, students must pass both TestDaF and TestAS in order to enter their desired Bachelor of Science program at Ruhr University Bochum.

The core of the program is an intensive German course with up to 32 units per week at the beginning. Remember: the key to a successful study in Germany is your language skills and in order to successfully complete the Freshmen College, you will need the C1 qualification level in the European Framework of Reference for Languages at the end of the 10 months. But don’t worry, our experienced lecturers are there for you and will guide you along the way!

In addition to the German course, you will also study chemistry, mathematics, physics, and computer science. Around half of your weekly lessons will be dedicated to these subjects.

After successfully completing the Freshman College by passing the TestAS and TestDaF final examinations, you are guaranteed to be offered your desired place in the Bachelor’s degree programmes at Ruhr University Bochum.

The deadline for your application is 31 July 2027.

Please note that you must apply for a student visa after your documents have been checked and you have been successfully admitted right away. The waiting time can vary and unfortunately we have no influence on this. With the program starting in September and a lead time of at least one month to organize everything, we have set the 31 of July as the deadline for an application. If you have any questions about the process or are unsure about the short time available, we will be happy to provide you with information and advice.

Before the Freshman College starts, we simply require a certificate confirming at least a completed A2 level.

The Freshman College at the Academy of Ruhr-University Bochum is located in Bochum. Our offer is subject to a fee, as we unfortunately do not receive any state financial support. However, we offer you a tailor-made package that prepares you optimally for the start of your studies.

我需要办理哪种签证？

Before entering the Federal Republic of Germany, all non‑EU applicants must apply for a student visa at the German embassy or consulate in their home country. Once you have paid your course fee and are enrolled at the Freshman College, you will receive a letter of confirmation from us. If you wish, you may also request a visa support letter. You should use these documents to apply for your visa immediately so as not to lose any time.
This process does not lie with the university authorities; rather, it falls within the responsibility of the various German embassies abroad, following directives from the German Federal Foreign Office. From our side, we encourage students to apply for a Visum zum Zweck des Studiums (§16b AufenthG) as early as possible so that the process can begin without delay.

新生学院学费是多少？

为期10个月（38周，分为两个学期，每学期19周）的预科课程学费为7,500欧元，该课程旨在帮助您顺利进入心仪的专业学习。

When I apply to the Freshman College, does it mean I will become a RUB student and automatically receive a conditional admission?

When you apply to the Freshman College, this does not automatically make you a student of Ruhr‑Universität Bochum, nor does it automatically grant you a conditional admission. You become a Freshman College student once your application has been accepted.
If you also wish to become a RUB student at the same time, you must inform us which engineering Bachelor’s program you intend to join after completing the Freshman College. We can then support you in obtaining the conditional admission from Ruhr‑Universität Bochum.
Once you have received the conditional admission, please remember to pay the social contribution within 12 days of receiving it; the amount is currently EUR 380.

Only then will you receive a university student ID, be able to use the semester ticket for public transportation throughout Germany (Except for fast connections such as ICE and IC)., and enjoy university privileges such as sports on offer at RUB, from aerobics to basketball, from archery to diving, from climbing to soccer or from karate to Zumba, and make full use of all the courses to work out! You also have the opportunity to train in the university’s own fitness studio “Unifit”. Your status as a RUB fellow also allows you to take advantage of cultural offers at a reduced price. Thanks to a cooperation with the Schauspielhaus Bochum, you can get tickets at low prices and watch great plays.

After the first two weeks, fromn the beginning of October on, you will have to book and pay for your own room. We will be happy to help you with this and put you in touch with private student accommodation providers who can provide us with allotments.

考试 / 完成

我还需要懂英语吗？

不，进入新生学院无需具备英语能力。

根据相关学习条例的规定，仅计算机科学、应用计算机科学、信息安全及信息技术工程等理学学士学位课程的入学申请者需具备英语语言能力。除成功完成新生预科课程并提供C1级德语语言能力证明外，申请上述三个专业的学生还须提供B2级英语语言能力证明。该证明可通过常规考试机构（如托福、雅思）出具。

期末考试是如何进行的？

与其他机构不同，我们的“新生学院”课程不以州级评估考试作为结业考核。该考试通常在全年固定日期举行，且往往需要额外收费。

新生学院的期末考试通过TestAS和TestDaF进行，因此灵活性更高，也能让我们有针对性地为你做好准备。

TestAS 是面向计划赴德留学的国际申请者的学习能力测试。该测试有助于准留学生评估自身的能力和素质是否适合在德国学习。若取得良好成绩，准留学生被德国大学录取的机会将大大增加。

与此同时，这也有助于德国高校在招生和选拔过程中做出公平、客观且量身定制的决策。

TestDaF 是国际申请者最重要的德语考试，也是你迈向德国大学之路上的一个“里程碑”：凭借该证书，你可以正式证明自己具备开始学业的语言能力。

TestDaF证书有效期无限，并得到德国所有大学的认可。

从那时起，我们将为您保留一个名额，有效期为14天。在此期间，您应向我们汇款支付课程费用。一旦课程费用支付完毕，您将收到我们发出的最终书面录取确认函，届时您可以凭此向大使馆申请学生签证。
