Turn your first German skills into a foundation for university

Is your university goal clear, but your German still at an early stage? Fast Track Study Foundation gives you a comprehensive framework to build your skills systematically. Over approximately 7.5 months, you combine several stages of language learning with subject courses and preparation for TestDaF and TestAS. Your ambition to study becomes a concrete learning pathway with coordinated stages.

Who is it for? International prospective university students with German language skills at A1 level and a recognised university entrance qualification.

The planned language courses range from A2 to C1. You develop your German across successive levels and gradually engage with increasingly demanding language content. Subject courses complement this development, while preparation for TestDaF and TestAS directs your further learning towards specific examination goals.

Developing your German language skills is an important step towards studying in Germany. Higher levels of language proficiency can help you understand academic content and participate successfully in a university environment. Future career prospects will depend mainly on your university degree and further qualifications.

The Study Foundation Programme is a preparatory programme that supports language and academic development before university entry.

Duration: approximately 7.5 months

Programme fee: EUR 10,500, excluding examination fees

Start date: 25 October 2027

Application deadline: 1 August 2027

Is the programme suitable for complete beginners?

German language skills at A1 level are required for entry. Under the stated requirements, the programme is not designed for students starting without any German.

Is C1 a guaranteed qualification?

No. C1 describes the planned scope of the language course levels. It does not guarantee a particular individual language level or examination result.

What additional costs should I expect?

Examination fees are not included in the programme fee. Before booking, check with the provider whether any other services or costs apply.
